Simon Says Stamp and Show an Artist Trading Card!

Hello everyone! Thank you for playing along with last week's Challenge! The winners will be announced this Wednesday .... so don't forget to check back ... this could be your winning week! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... an ATC! If you want to join in the fun ... all you need to do is ... create something that ties in with our theme ... pop it on your blog ... and come back here and link up so everyone can see what you made! Before you start take a look at what the Design Team came up with...
Ellen started with a manila ATC from Ranger and used aged mahogany, crushed olive, and picket fence distress stains to create a marbled background. Then used the alpha background, leafy vine and sentiment stamps from Dylusions, and perfect pearls to paint in the leaves, and a white gel pen to accent the vine. Added accents with a cream pearl pen by Viva. Stitched around the edges on the sewing machine.

A first for Tracy, a CHUNKY ATC, one which she thoroughly enjoyed making using Tim's Season's Silhouettes and Odds And Ends set of stamps. The ATC was painted with an undercoat of Claudine Hellmuth's Gesso and a top coat of Distress Stain Broken China. Tracy used all four sides to the max, decorating each with Tim's Reindeer Flight and adding a couple of the special Christmas Adornments from Tim. Noel, Joy and Christmas were added to jump rings, a favourite technique of Tracy's at the moment.

Lynne has been waiting for the opportunity to use her Picket Fence Distress Stain and having been inspired by Tim Holtz tutorial....off she went. The other Distress Stain colors used were Peeled Paint, Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans and Broken China. The process wouldn't be complete with out a Craft Mat, Heat It Tool and some beautiful stamps. Color some flowers, add a little verbage and there you have it.
ATC...That means Aren't They Cute doesn't it?! Sarah had a great time playing with Wendy Vecchi Art Parts on her "All Wendy" ATC's, showing how versatile these fun pieces can be. She used Art Part Florals, Dress forms and more and Scallops. The ATC's were coloured with various Distress inks and stamped with Ranger Archival ink using lots more of Wendy's fabulous sets.

This junky ATC is all about Halloween. Nancy loves that these little stand-alones are perfect for shelves or tabletop decorating. Starting with a scrap piece of wood, she added Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 Art Parts. The shelf is from the Sample Pack and was painted with black acrylic. The bottle is from the Borders & Bottles set and used several layers of paint including Pearl Metallic Dabber to give the bottle of bit of sheen.
Candy Colwell
Candy created a very vintage shabby chic chunky ATC titled "Time Passages".  Using a color palette of Vintage Photo, Tumbled  Glass Distress Inks and a Gold Paint Dabber,  Candy has mixed Ideaology elements including Sprocket Gears, Muse Tokens, Trimmings and Vials to intricately embellish each side of this piece that definitely reminds us of how precious time is!

Linda used the butterfly from her new Wendy Vecchi Nature's Art to provide the focal point for her ATC.   Plenty of Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo Distress Inks were used in addition to Denim Color Wash and Antique Linen Distress Stickles.

ATCs were one of the first things Dan started making when he first began crafting, but he hadn't made one in a few years!  I guess it's one of those things you don't forget, like riding a bike!  Products he used included the Artistic Collages, Regal Findings and Urban Tapestry stamp sets and Distress Stains in Peeled Paint, Forest Moss and Scattered Straw
Terry learned from her teamie that once she started with one ATC, the rest would follow and she was right. Terry made 3 ATC's with fabulous products from The Wendy Vecchi such as the Just Fly Butterfly and Just Flutterby Butterfly. The flowers are from Wendy's stampset Dreams of Art just like the border. The sentiment is from The Tim Holtz Odds and Ends. The ATC's were worked on with Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Wheatered Wood, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmelade and Dried Marigold. On top she used Glossy Accents, Crackle Paint and the middle one was heat Embossed, with Copper Embossingpowder.
I used Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress Stains to create my background. I then added lots of stamping in Coffee Archival ink using the Tim Holtz Bitty Grunge plate among other Tim Stamps. Using inspiration from the text from Stuff to Say I then embellished the ATC with pictures from the Lost and Found Stash a some Idea-Ology Memo Pins.
